16th SARAH BACKSTROM Hockey Tournament

               The ERIE LADY LIONS GIRLS HOCKEY ASSOCIATION  invites you to the 15^th annual Sarah Backstrom Girls Hockey Tournament.  We are proud to welcome back our friends from Ontario, New York, Michigan, Indiana, West Virginia, Kentucky, Maryland, Pennsylvania and new teams from though out the U.S.  ELLGHA is proud to continue to offer this nationally scouted tournament which provides not only a fun atmosphere for the players and their families but also levels of competition for all that make it a valued experience.   The Sarah Backstom offers A/B/C/D and Developmental recreational divisions for ADULT WOMEN (must be 18 or older).  Please do not hesitate to call if you have any questions and concerns as to how your team would fit.

      Tournament Facts

        USA Hockey Sanctioned Event

       3 game minimum Semi-game for dual bracket divisions.

NO ADMISSIONS GATE

    Finals held Sunday 02/14, 2010

           Individual and team trophies for 1^st & 2^nd place. MVP awards in championship games.

       Discounted OHL tickets. Splash Lagoon (indoor water park). Souvenirs, Tee Shirts, Action Photos, Chinese Auction, etc.

   Tournament  Cost: $800 usd

         USA and Canada Registered 2009-2010Rosters

Required by January 1, 2010.

               The Tournament Committee shall reserve the right to accept and place teams in the competition bracket it deems appropriate.

Acceptance of this team releases the host, their officials, arena managers & management and all concerned with the tournament from any liability for any accident or injury which may be incurred by a player or team official while attending or participating in this tournament.

All coaches, managers, or team officials hereby agree and will abide by all tournament rules and regulations set forth by the tournament committee, and agree all registration papers are correct.

In an effort to make your visit to Erie & the Sarah Backstom as comfortable as possible, the Tournament Committee is providing the following list of lodging for visiting teams. All hotels have agreed to the discounted rate shown and offer excellent locations convenient to all rinks, dining, shopping at the Millcreek Mall & other shopping centers, theaters, Erie Zoo, Otters Hockey and local attractions.

For your convenience, please make direct contact with the contacts listed for the listed hotels. Lodging at the host hotels is a condition of participation in the tournament. Please check our website for additional hotel listings. Securing lodging at host hotels is condition of tournament acceptance unless referred by tournament committee to non-host hotel.

$50 discount to all our tournament returning families if booked by July 1, 2008.  Cheques can be postdated to October 1, 2009.
