We all know that the first place Coach Y goes once over the border is TIM HORTON'S. Now 9 years later, it is a traditional stop no matter where the Lady Lions drop the puck in Canada and now
in their own jungle of Erie, Pennsylvania. With the arrival of Tim Horton's to Erie there is more than just a big smile from
Coach, who can have her double/double daily but also a roar of content from the ELL families and players. but an addition
to our SIMBA/NALA Hockey FUN-damentals Program for girls and boys ages 4-10 (age as of 12/31/2004). You heard
the jungle drums right....the program is now Tim Horton's TIMBIT Minor Hockey Program. Did you thow that the first Timbit Program was started in 1973 in Moncton, NB by a cousin of
our own Tim Horton Franchise owner, Aaron Beaton?
- Who can be a Timbit? Girls and boys ages 4-12
- When is the program held? Saturdays 8 am-1:30 pm. See schedules above for particulars
per age group. Season runs September to first week of March for 20 weeks with exclusion of Christmas: March -
Program finale: Timboree
- Where is the program held? ICE CENTER OF ERIE (formerly the
IGLOO) 38th and McClelland
- How much is the program (2011) $99 Timbit I ages 4-5 and
$149 Timbit II Ages 6-8. TIMBIT House League Ages 9-12 (non check) Saturday morning and either a Tuesday or
Thursday evening 5:30-6:20 pm and that includes the first year free use of your hockey equipment (helmet, cage,
elbow-shin-shoulder pads, gloves and pants and skates if needed (limited supply). $25 return player equipment rental fee.
All session are at the ICe Center of Erie.
- How is the program designed? The Timbits program follows the guidelines of USA Hockey American
Development Model Program and all instructors are certified by USA Hockey and all have background screening for your
childs safety.. It is fundamentals of hockey with the FUN put back in.
- Is there more? TIMBIT jersey and medal of participation because every Timbit
is a winner in our pride.
